First, the introductions: I am a native born El Pasoan. I grew up in El Paso, and, like many people, I left town at the first opportunity; thinking that I would never return again. Well, I was wrong. No matter how many times I’ve heard people say, ”I can’t wait to leave,” you are guaranteed to hear a large number of people say, “I can’t wait to get back the El Paso!” In 2003, I returned after spending 10 years in Reno, Nevada.
